What Happens There?
When you show up at a Prerelease, you will be given the opportunity to play with the newest cards in the following format:
Sealed Deck — Each player receives six Magic 2013 booster packs to use for building a deck.
What Do I Get?
In addition to the booster packs, each player receives (while supplies last):
1 promo card (Xathrid Gorgon)
What Else Can I Do?
In addition to the main Prerelease Tournament event, we offer open dueling.
Open Dueling — Open Dueling players each receive:
1 Magic 2013 Intro Pack
1 Promo card (Xathrid Gorgon, while supplies last)
Open Dueling players use their Intro Packs to play against each other, as well as Prerelease tournament players who are between matches. All players should be encouraged to help teach Open Dueling participants how to play Magic.

Each participant in this event will add 2 booster packs and $5 store credit to the prize pool. The prize pool will be awarded as follows:
- 1st - 25%
- 2nd - 15%
- 3rd & 4th - 10% each
- 5th - 8th - 5% each
- 9th - 16th - 2.5% each
For example, if there were 64 players, the prize pool of 128 packs + $320 store credit to be distributed as follows:
- 1st - 32 packs + $80 store credit
- 2nd - 20 packs + $48 store credit
- 3rd & 4th - 12 packs + $32 store credit each
- 5th - 8th - 7 packs + $16 store credit each
- 9th - 16th - 3 packs + $8 store credit each

DON'T BE CONFUSED! We will still be holding Friday Night Magic Standard on JULY 6 (Friday). Registration for the midnight pre-release event starts on the same Friday at 11pm. Midnight pre-release event will start 1 hour after, when the clock strikes midnight!
